Mia
This is a painting I have done for a lovely lady in the US of her beautiful tri Cavalier, Mia, who is one of her rescue dogs. It was done to raise funds for the rescue of a number of Cavaliers earlier on this year by the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue Trust, Inc.

Girls At The Beach
Oil on canvas panel - 6" x 8"
I have always admired plein air painters, it's something I have not done very much of at all, I guess because I have prefered the comfort of my studio and I really do not like being out in the sun. Since moving house and having the convenience of so much around me to paint directly it's something I hope to do more of. I must admit to finding the whole experience very strange ...but I'm quite pleased with my first effort this year.

Dingle Mart
One of the good things about moving house is you find things you may not have seen for a few years. I found some photographs (which gives a clue to their age) of Dingle Mart so painted this one yesterday.

September Sunset, Kilmoyley - study
Finally I have got back to some painting, it's been a while. With moving house and closing the gallery there has been so much to do. I still don't have a working studio but that will come soon so I am working in the kitchen. The skies here ...are just sensational and should feature a lot in my work over the coming year so my first Kilmoyley painting had to be a sunset. A small study 6" x 8"- oil on panel - September Sunset, Kilmoyley.
